Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Network Engineer or Principal Network Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The selected candidate will assist with data center design, deployment, and documentation and will need domain knowledge of the existing areas.
Develop engineering and automated deployments for datacenter system configurations.
Executing engineering projects on schedule.
Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot and redline documented procedures.
Implement engineering changes to the system as required
Responsible for integrating and testing software and/or hardware systems in complex IT systems.
Good planning, coordination, and documentation skills are required.
This position may be filled as either a Network Engineer or Principal Network Engineer depending upon the qualifications below.
Basic Qualifications for Network Engineer:
Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 2 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related engineering experience.
Experience in or knowledge of scripting/programming languages such as Python
Experience with deploying, configuring, and hardening Network Devices
Familiarity with network simulation tools and load testing (e.g. Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP/PAR). This SAP/PAR must be obtained prior to commencement of employment and must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent certification
