This level clinician utilizes the nursing process in providing patient care and patient/family teaching. The practitioner organizes and implements safe, therapeutic, and efficient patient care in controlled settings with predictable outcomes. Patients served may include neonate through adult-geriatric.
To qualify for the position, the candidate must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing; successful completion of required hospital, nursing and unit orientation, including but not limited to BLS certification and medication certification required. ACLS required (PACU, ICCU, ED), NALS required (Obstetrical-Nursery) or eligible for completion of course within six (6) months from date in position. Telemetry Nurse must pass a basic arrhythmia exam and have ability to recognize critical rhythms and seek intervention.
