For those whose calling it is to serve others, now is your moment to join our mission to provide quality care to every patient with compassion, collaboration, and innovation, to live our mantra to “Always Do The Right Thing”, The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) supports the Director of Nursing (DON) in supervising and directing the activities of licensed and non-licensed staff, providing nursing care and other health services to patients assigned to medical-surgical and psychiatric units. Assists in ensuring that patient care is provided in accordance with facility policies and procedures, state and federal regulations, and accepted standards of nursing practice. Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to provide a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
Plans, develops, and supervises nursing personnel and services to patients at the facility.
Oversees nursing systems, ensures consistent care delivery, and maintains patient rights.
Shares responsibility for selecting and appraising nursing staff and conducts rounds on all units throughout the day.
Assists in ensuring resident safety, coordinates orientation training, and prepares reports.
Advocates for PI, risk management, patient safety, and infection control principles, and serves on clinical care committees and task forces.
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
Minimum of two years’ experience as a Nursing Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or other supervisory level position in correctional, psychiatric and/or medical surgical nursing.
Must have a current, unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of employment, or possess a multi-state compact license recognized by the State of employment to practice professional nursing.
