As an Automation Systems Engineering team member, you will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and sustainment of automation solutions and advanced IIoT / Industry 4.The role includes developing physical automation solutions (robots, PLCs, HMIs, and vision systems) and their integration with business systems (primarily using Ignition).
The role has a foundation in controls engineering but offers significant opportunities for growth including developing new automation opportunities, quantifying business value, presenting to leadership, and then coordinating across functions to execute initiatives. Continuous improvement, upgrades, and sustainment of deployed automation systems using core ASE skills including PLC programming, Robotics programming, Vision programming, HMI programming, and controls upgrades.
Collaborate with the factory to identify, development, and deploy process automation systems and digital solutions.
Integration of equipment with business systems for performance monitoring, data collection, and/or transactional automation.
0 project lifecycle- from requirements generation to technical project management to execution & sustainment of automation projects
Typically requires BS in an Engineering field or the sciences (STEM)Preferred: MS in engineering AND 8+ years of experience in manufacturing operations/engineering, systems engineering, controls engineering, and/or automation engineering ; S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Experience programming Rockwell PLCs
Experience with automation mechanisms, controls, robotics, troubleshooting, and/or vision systems
Active DoD Secret Clearance
Rockwell PLC experience
Python or other scripting experience
Experience with control systems design (AutoCAD preferred)

May have broad knowledge of project management. Requires substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or
prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
