Technical Program Manager, Product Safety and Compliance

Technical Program Managers at Lunar Energy are responsible for leading complex engineering programs from initial concepts through to volume manufacturing. Requiring extremely close collaboration with engineering, supply chain, and external partners, TPMs are instrumental in aligning diverse, global teams through a mix of leadership, engineering knowledge, and exceptional communications. On a given day at Lunar, you'll likely:
  • Ensure Lunar's products meet appropriate compliance requirements through testing and data reviews.
  • Lead compliance programs with the right level of urgency, ownership, and technical depth.
  • Develop compliance program schedules, define milestones and clearly communicate ongoing progress, risks, and mitigation strategies through close collaboration with the appropriate internal and external teams.
  • Drive the program team and gather compliance evidence by planning and supporting test activities, ensuring there is clear alignment on the right priorities.
  • Establish and host regular technical data reviews with engineering teams and be able to present with certifying agencies.
  • Set agenda for key decisions by providing tradeoff analysis to be made at each meeting to eliminate bottlenecks and retire risks.
  • Maintain clear communications and solid relationships with certifying agencies.
Desired Skills:
  • B.S/ M.S Engineering or 3-5+ years of equivalent related experience with a strong track record of shipping products, and deep knowledge of the stages of a new product development.
  • Knowledge of UL 9540, UL 1741, IEEE 1547 and Functional Safety compliance standards is a plus.
  • Expert is using project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, SmartSheets or similar.
  • Asset management experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work onsite 5-days a week
  • You are passionate about accelerating the adoption of renewables and improving our energy infrastructure, particularly through your ability to execute ambitious program plans.

Our Compensation Philosophy: Our goal is to ensure that all Lunar Energy employees are fairly compensated. Please note that the salary range information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position provided pursuant to the Pay Transparency for Pay Equity Act for California applicants. The salary range estimate for this position depending on level of experience is: $130k - $170k USD.

The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package & benefits, will be at the company's sole discretion, and determined by factors including but not limited to years of experience, job level, geographic location, and other relevant business considerations.
