Our railway currently stretches over 10.5 miles through a stunning area of outstanding natural beauty in Kent and East Sussex. With rolling hills, lush woodlands and picturesque villages, the Wealden countryside is the perfect setting for our journey. We don't just provide transport; we create experiences, memories, and connections to a bygone era.

Our clickety-clacking wheels, the rhythmic hiss of steam and the melodic whistle transport you to an era when life moved at a more leisurely pace.
About the Role
We're looking for a Personal Assistant to the General Manager / Office Administrator to become the heartbeat of our administrative function at the K&ESR. As an integral part of our team, you'll play a crucial role in keeping our administrative tasks on track across all railway departments.
This role is as diverse as it is essential. You'll assist our General Manager in a wide range of tasks, from diary management to organising VIP visits. You'll tackle the everyday work of filing while also diving into the excitement of helping with Santa Specials. You'll be entrusted with handling serious responsibilities, like ensuring compliance with safety paperwork for the Rail Regulator, as well as being our go-to person for critical tasks like unblocking the photocopier when operational notices are on the line.

Experience and Understanding: We're seeking someone who brings experience and understanding of office systems and the realities of office life. You've been there, done that, and have the practical wisdom to prove it.
Adaptability: Change is our constant companion, and we need someone who's not set in their ways, someone who's open to evolving with us as we strive for excellence.
Organisation: If you're the type of person who thrives in an intense environment, can keep a multitude of tasks organised, and maintain a sense of calm under pressure, you're the one we want.
