Our Physical Therapist position comes with a sign-on bonus _

Position Title: Physical Therapist. Monday - Friday. with up to 30-35 hours per week, and in the future will be up to 40 hours, on average, per week.

SUMMARY OF POSITION FUNCTION:
Aware of the goals, objectives, and policies of Coast Physical Therapy and assists in providing services required in fulfilling these goals.
Provides skilled physical therapy treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results of patients.
Assures continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs; instructing patients, recommending and/or providing assistive equipment; recommending follow-up programs.
Promptly and thoroughly documents and maintains clinical and administrative records regarding patient limitations/interventions, treatments, responses and progress to administered therapy as well as discharge summaries.
Records treatment charges daily and completes charge tickets in accurate and timely manner.
Supervises and directs Physical Therapy Assistants and Physical Therapy Aides in direct patient care and related activities as requested.
Complies with the Florida Physical Therapy Act, codes and regulations.
Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocols.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff and management.
Perform routine random sampling for infection control.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
Excellent communication skills
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of CPT & ICD-9 coding procedures.
Thorough knowledge of physical therapy principles and practices.
Working knowledge of computer programs
Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively.
Must be able to act calmly and effectively in a busy or stressful situation.
Ability to communicate effectively in the English language in person, by phone and in writing.
Requires adherence to all policies and procedures, including but not limited to standards for safety, attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS and LICENSE:
Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program.
Current Florida Physical Therapist license.

EXPERIENCE:
Two years of experience as a Physical Therapist preferred
