Position Title: *Physical Therapist. *Monday – Friday. with up to 30-35 hours per week, and in the future will be up to 40 hours, on average, per week.
SUMMARY OF POSITION FUNCTION:
* Aware of the goals, objectives, and policies of Coast Physical Therapy and assists in providing services required in fulfilling these goals.
* Provides skilled physical therapy treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results of patients.
* Assures continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs; instructing patients, recommending and/or providing assistive equipment; recommending follow-up programs.
* Promptly and thoroughly documents and maintains clinical and administrative records regarding patient limitations/interventions, treatments, responses and progress to administered therapy as well as discharge summaries.
* Records treatment charges daily and completes charge tickets in accurate and timely manner.
* Supervises and directs Physical Therapy Assistants and Physical Therapy Aides in direct patient care and related activities as requested.
* Complies with the Florida Physical Therapy Act, codes and regulations.
* Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocols.
* Establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff and management.
* Perform routine random sampling for infection control.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of CPT & ICD-9 coding procedures.
* Thorough knowledge of physical therapy principles and practices.
* Working knowledge of computer programs
* Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively.
* Must be able to act calmly and effectively in a busy or stressful situation.
* Ability to communicate effectively in the English language in person, by phone and in writing.
* Requires adherence to all policies and procedures, including but not limited to standards for safety, attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS and LICENSE:
* Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program.
* Current Florida Physical Therapist license.
EXPERIENCE:
* Two years of experience as a Physical Therapist preferred
