The Position

  • The Senior Medical Director ESP provides leadership and management for the clinical staff of the Elder Service Plan-Program for All Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) Centers.
  • Reporting to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Elder Service Plan, the Senior Medical Director will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care while overseeing routine health maintenance, management of chronic conditions, and acute illnesses.
  • The Senior Medical Director will focus on current PACE initiatives including clinical care, patient access, utilization management, patient scheduling, and financial operations.
  • This individual will be responsible for ensuring survey readiness and will collaborate closely senior leadership executives including Site Practice Managers, Director of Nursing, and Medical Directors to improve current processes pertaining to local, state, and federal regulations throughout PACE.
  • The Senior Medical Director will be responsible for the implementation and management of provider initiatives including provider contracts/compensation plans, provider engagement/experience, training, orientations plans, and credentialing processes throughout the PACE program.
  • This leader will serve as a representation of the organization when collaborating with PACE organizations, community mental health centers, social service agencies, and area hospital and provider networks.

Requirements

  • MD/DO is required. Strong preference for residency training in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics.
  • Must possess a minimum of five years of primary care experience is required.
  • Must possess a minimum of three years of administrative and/or leadership experience is required.
  • Previous elder services and/or community health care center experience is strongly preferred.
