Provide clinical services to adult patients undergoing organ transplant. The position is responsible for providing group and individual health and behavior interventions to patients throughout their transplant journey in both outpatient and inpatient medical settings. The Clinical Psychologist also collaborates as part of the interdisciplinary transplant team consisting of surgeons, medical providers, social work, nutrition, pharmacy, nurse coordinators, transplant leadership and other consultants.
in Counseling or Clinical Psychology or related field.
1 year of postdoctoral supervised clinical experience
~ Preferred – 1 year of clinical experience or 2 years of post-doctoral experience in the area of Health Psychology in a medical setting.

Performance diagnostic examinations of the patient’s intellectual and psychological functioning and adjustment to the disability/illness within 24 hours of receipt of consult.
Documents plans, interventions and patient’s response/involvement according to standards.
Identifies and documents discharge plans, which meet the needs of the patient and are consistent with resources available.
Active interdisciplinary collaboration with the respective transplant teams to provide excellent care and improve the quality of life of patients and families.
Participates in ongoing quality monitoring, policy review and process improvement activities related to Psychology services.
Maintains updated knowledge of rules, regulations and standards in the field of Psychology and related matters of interest.
Knowledge of and adherence to professional, legal, ethical, and professional standards endorsed by licensing professional organization. 
Ability to review and mobilize family support and other resources.
Knowledge of managing psychopathology and substance abuse risks for patients and referral of any identified concerns related to family or support caregiver to appropriate services.
