**Job Title:** Cardiovascular Cath Lab Tech

**Shift:** Day - 8x5 - 11:00 AM to 07:00 PM, Monday to Friday, On-Call Required
**Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years prior experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory or invasive procedure area in an acute care hospital, or 6-12 months during a CVT accredited program or 2 years in another cardiac vascular laboratory
**License:** Not Applicable
**Certifications:** RCIS, RCES, or RT
**Must-Have:** Knowledge of electrophysiology intra-procedure mapping, ablation, implant devices
**Job Description:**
- Assist physicians with procedures including Cardiac Catheterization, Angioplasty, Atherectomy, TEC, Rotablator, Valvuloplasty, Intra-vascular Ultrasound, Pulmonary Angiograms, and insertion of intra-aortic balloon pumps and stents.
- Prepare sterile trays and organize specific equipment for each procedure.
- Prepare patients, attach EKG leads, perform betadine scrub, and drape patients according to protocol.
- Assist cardiac catheterization nurses with patient monitoring preparation.
- Calibrate and test transducers for accurate pressure readings.
- Assist physicians throughout diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Load and operate the power injector.
- Maintain standards for digital cine technologies, including storage and retrieval of patient images and hemodynamic records.
- Ensure proper downloading of all CD acquisitions for review.
- Assist with emergency measures to restore or maintain patient well-being.
- Assist in the removal of procedural sheaths and insertion of vascular closure devices.
- Manage inventory control by notifying appropriate individuals of supply needs.
- Perform maintenance, calibration, and evaluation of diagnostic and technical equipment.
- Adapt care to meet the needs of diverse patient populations.
- Lift a minimum of 40 lbs., push and pull a minimum of 100 lbs., and stand for a minimum of 4 hours a day.
- Communicate effectively with patients and caregivers in a manner appropriate to their developmental and educational level.
- Adhere to organizational competencies and standards.

- Required: High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree
