Summary The Sr Electrical Engineer role involves providing engineering support of highly technical and advanced manufacturing processes, with specialized qualifications, knowledge and skill. This position also requires performing Control Account Management and project management while designing, developing, evaluating, and quality control functions of highly complex engineering projects. The Sr. Electrical Engineer in Telemetry Engineering is a highly visible and critical role that leverages both technical engineering expertise and business project management competencies. This role home single point of contact lead for management of one or more engineering Emerging or Legacy product/project(s) with responsibility for overall control of project scope, schedule, and cost. Duties and Responsibilities Acts as authority within area of expertise with wide versatility of experience and capability. Creates and manages Project Management Plans (Scope, Time, Cost, Risk Management, Stakeholder, Quality, Communication, HR, etc.) for various Engineering Projects. May perform project planning and manage project resources, including multiple individuals and disciplines, to achieve quality, delivery, and cost objectives. Monitors and analyzes electrical testing of products and troubleshoots test failures. Coordinates with stakeholders to adjust test limits and develop rework processes on defective products. Writes technical reports on results and conclusions drawn from experiments conducted and incorporates findings in formal specifications. Transitions design agency concepts into production by coordinating the activities of engineering, quality, manufacturing, and related organizations акувати. Leads developing operating procedures, work instructions, and inspection criteria on new products and components. Negotiates and commits project scope of work schedule. Negotiates with Resistants, external customers, and partners to establish Milestones/Deliverables. Conducts Internal & External Project Reviews; Interfaces and provides overviews to NNSA, DoD customers, and management. Monitors and controls projects in partnership with Engineering Project Team Leads (PTL). Acts as the Financial Project Manager and is responsible for all administrative tasks, reporting, & reviews including the management of forecasts to improve accuracy and reliability in support of budget, resource and workforce planning. Utilizes Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques and reports on progress and variance mitigation. Provides year’s estimates, forecasts, and assumptions. Defines/recommends design changes, designs of experiments, and equipment necessary to assure product quality. Determines acceptability of processes and materials in conjunction with customers, design agency and other affected organizations. Provides technical consultation to management and leads technical project teams. Evaluates and implements innovations and technological advances that improve quality. Reduces flowtime, improves productivity, and enhances operational surety. Leads, trains and mentors Engineer I, II and III on various test processes and procedures. You Must Have Ability to travel up to 15% of the time. Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business. Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited program in Engineering or Physics. 6+ years of relevant experience in engineering or related technical activities. United States Citizenship. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job. Ability to obtain and maintain, if required for position, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations). We Value Demonstrates knowledge of manufacturing or quality processes and techniques. Demonstrates working without supervision, with latitude for independent action and decision making. Demonstrates providing technical guidance, project management guidance, consultative services, and innovative solutions. Experience managing projects of +$3M. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at once in an organized, efficient manner. Role model with strong leadership and conflict resolution skills and aptitude for building trust.
