Must live within 20 miles of the area for this posting. Job Overview As the Senior Property Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: Oversee the overall management of multiple self‑storage facilities, supervising multiple team members across approximately five locations, with a rotating on‑site schedule including at least one Saturday per month. Foster a culture that demonstrates the core values of National Storage Affiliates: integrity, accountability, humility, compassion. Host and attend virtual meetings on a set schedule (weekly, bi‑weekly, monthly, bi‑monthly, quarterly, annually) and impromptu meetings as needed. Create monthly schedules to support business needs and cover shifts. Ensure stores are staffed, properties are clean, customers are attended to, and calls are answered. Partner with Recruiting to interview for open positions. Develop, performance‑manage, and mentor team members, coaching them to provide excellent customer service and retain customers. Ensure team members complete new hire training and ongoing employee training. Ensure compliance with safety standards, operational procedures, and financial goals. Conduct monthly audits of each store to verify accurate bank records and tenant accounts. Conduct monthly auctions, ensuring compliance with current state lien laws. Review and monitor maintenance and planned capital expenses, keeping assets in good condition and representing the NSA Storage brand. Oversee contract and license management. Position Requirements All work must be performed in accordance with safety regulations and applicable safety policies. Physical activity: extensive walking, use of stairs, lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, cutting property locks for auctions. Travel by car within the support area; overnight and out‑of‑state travel possible; present on site five days per week on a rotating schedule. Multi‑unit property management experience preferred. Management experience with a team of employees. Excellent time‑management and multi‑tasking skills. Excellent customer service, sales, phone, organizational, computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office and Power BI. Accurate record‑keeping and math skills; experience with cash handling and auditing. Host or attend virtual meetings, supporting camera use when possible. Must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and insurance. Must pass and maintain a clean criminal background check. Work Monday‑Friday 9 am–6 pm and at least one Saturday per month 9 am–5 pm; may be on call outside of that schedule. Must live within 20 miles of the area or be willing to relocate within that distance.
