The successful candidate will serve as chief of the Division of Gastroenterology Highlights include:Full EmploymentOpportunity for academic appointment Growing 9-hospital physician-led private not for profit healthcare systemA 974-bed tertiary referral centerOpportunity to lead an active GI service inclusive of an outpatient clinic, ASC, inpatient endoscopy suite, and will assist with oversight of regional gastroenterology servicesEstablished practice with 9 experienced gastroenterologists and 2 Nurse PractitionersState of the art outpatient endoscopy center and newly renovated inpatient GI lab inclusive of 3 interventional rooms and 20 pre and post procedure baysInpatient support by GI hospitalist programOpportunity to participate and lead recruitment efforts, quality initiatives, strategic growth, and provider developmentProtected weekly procedure daysProcedures will include general gastroenterology cases with support from three advanced endoscopistsAbility to teach and to be supported by the Gastroenterology Fellowship program that includes 6 fellows as well as residentsFull motility study programLarge referral network including over 110 Health Physicians practices and 9 Health owned hospitalsAbility to live in a vibrant university community with close proximity to the beautiful North Carolina beachesCompetitive compensation and comprehensive benefit package to include: guaranteed base salary, potential bonus structure, annual stipend, relocation assistance, vacation, sick, holidays, malpractice (with tail), - 401k, 457b, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insuranceLocation Highlights:Greenville is a thriving university town and the cultural, educational, and economic hub of eastern North CarolinaLocated just over an hour from Raleigh and the beaches of the Crystal CoastExcellent public and private schools, low cost of living, and a revitalized downtownAccess to boating, kayaking, fishing, hiking, and year-round outdoor activitiesHome to a major university with over 24,000 students and a vibrant arts and culinary scene
