**Description:**
We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse with expertise in the Operating Room, particularly in cardiovascular procedures. The role involves circulating in all open chest cases, assisting with line insertions such as Swan and A-line, and supporting anesthesia induction. Proficiency in EPIC charting, I-Stat, Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE), as well as warming and cooling units, is required. This position requires call duty approximately once every 7-10 days during the week and full weekend calls every 5-6 weeks. Candidates will occasionally float to core units like general surgery, orthopedics, or neurology. The CVOR comprises 4 operating rooms and 1 hybrid room, while the core OR has 13 operating rooms. The nurse-to-patient ratio will vary depending on patient acuity, requiring 1-2 nurses. Adherence to the dress code is mandatory, and specific attire requirements like covered cloth caps and no large jewelry need to be observed. Orientation and training specific to the unit include 2-3 days in the OR and 1-2 days for basic nursing and EPIC. Candidates must be prepared to assist with anesthesia tasks as part of their assignment.
