Locum Tenens Opportunity: Internal Medicine Physician Overview: Embark on a rewarding locum tenens journey as an Internal Medicine Physician with our esteemed healthcare team. The assignment spans from March 4, 2024, to April 26, 2024, and we are seeking one dedicated provider to join our dynamic team near AMHERST, NE. Job Requirements: To ensure the success of our locum tenens engagement, candidates must meet the following criteria: Board Certification: Possession of Board Certification in Internal Medicine is required, or candidates should be within 0-5 years of residency completion. Active Nebraska License: Candidates must hold an active Nebraska medical license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) with LOQ (Letter of Qualification) in hand at the time of submission. Residency Completion: Successful completion of residency training is mandatory. Active BLS: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a prerequisite. Location Preference: While local candidates are preferred, we welcome applications from all qualified physicians. Clean Malpractice/Background: A pristine malpractice and background record is highly preferred. Availability: Candidates must commit to the specified dates outlined in the job description. Certification Requirements: In addition to BLS certification, candidates should be either Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine. License Requirements: A valid medical license in the state of Nebraska is required for this position. Dates of Coverage: The assignment covers the period from March 4 to April 26, requiring presence Monday to Friday during regular clinic hours (8:00 am to 5:00 pm). This is an exclusive clinic position. Details: Setting: The physician will operate in an outpatient clinic setting. Full-Time Equivalent (FTE): The position holds a 1.0 FTE. Duties: Responsibilities include managing adult outpatients with a focus on chronic diseases, wellness care, and acute patient needs. EMR: The clinic utilizes EPIC for electronic medical records. Support Staff: One Clinical Support Staff (LPN or Medical Assistant) will be available for assistance. Reason for Coverage: The need for coverage arises due to vacation and vacancy within the team. Patient Load: The clinic, focusing solely on outpatient care, typically sees about 18 patients per day. First-day Information: Upon commencement, the selected physician will meet with the clinic manager for orientation on the morning of the first shift.
