This hands-on leadership role requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety and quality. The ideal candidate will lead a team of skilled welders, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable codes and standards.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise a team of welders to achieve production goals and uphold quality standards. Assign daily tasks, track progress, and ensure project timelines and deliverables are met. Inspect welds and final products for compliance with specifications and industry codes (e.g., AWS, ASME). Provide technical guidance and hands-on support in MIG, Stick, and/or Flux-Core welding. Enforce workplace safety protocols; conduct regular safety inspections and ensure OSHA compliance. Train and mentor team members on proper welding techniques, safety procedures, and equipment maintenance. Collaborate with Foremen and Project Managers to troubleshoot issues and optimize workflow. QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; welding technical certification is mandatory. Minimum of 5 years of welding experience, including at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead role. Strong understanding of welding processes, materials, and applicable safety regulations. Ability to interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings. Familiar with Colorado state safety and environmental regulations for industrial/construction sites. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Preferred QualificationsAWS (American Welding Society) Certification(s). Bilingual in English and Spanish. Physical RequirementsAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods throughout the workday. Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions including extreme heat, cold, dust, and noise. Capable of wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), such as welding helmets, gloves, and respiratory protection. Must have full range of motion and physical stamina to perform manual tasks related to welding and fabrication. Able to work at heights and in confined spaces when required.
