**Must-Have:** Experience in Level III NICU, caring for high-risk newborns
**Job Description:**
- Provide care for high-risk, critically ill preterm and term newborns requiring multi-system support measures.
- Patient types include those needing respiratory support (e.g., nasal cannula, CPAP, NAVA, conventional and oscillator ventilation, nitric oxide).
- Manage central lines including PICC, UAC, UVC, Arterial lines, Broviac, and chest tubes.
- Perform IV therapy, including maintenance fluids, vasopressor support, sedation, and paralytics.
- Conduct video EEG monitoring and cooling treatments.
- Administer NG/PO feedings and Eat Sleep Console treatment with medication management.
- Work within a team including a 24/7 charge nurse, respiratory therapists, and neonatologists.
- Collaborate with various departments such as Lactation Consultants, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Social Work, Case Management, Pharmacy, Dietician, and Chaplain.
- Use EPIC for charting and manage GE B450 cardiac monitoring and Alaris IV and syringe pumps.
- Adhere to the facility's COVID and PPE guidelines, including fit-testing and use of single-use PPE/CAPR/PAPR.
- Follow AWHONN staffing standards for patient ratios.
- Provide floating services to the Women’s Care Center for newborn care when needed.
- Attend orientation and training session with the Nurse Manager and NICU Nurse Educator, followed by preceptorship and assignment as a work buddy.
- Flexibility in scheduling with no set patterns; available to work 7 days a week and every other holiday based on start date.
- Scrub color is any color acceptable.
**Other Notes:** A free cafeteria is available during day and evening hours.
