*Duties: *
* Assists in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders.
* Collects and analyzes sputum, blood, and breath specimens to determine levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases.
* Proper assessment, observation and monitoring of signs and symptoms, general behavior, and general physical response to Respiratory Care treatments and diagnostic testing.
* The Respiratory Therapist will recommend and initiate appropriate respiratory care procedures and protocols based on observed abnormalities, implement changes in treatment pursuant to the written or verbal orders of a physician.
* Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care de to achieve desired outcomes.
* The Respiratory Therapist must have the ability to assess and initiate emergency procedures.

*Education: *
* An Associate's degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program is required.

*Licenses & Certification:*
* A credential of Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RR)
* Respiratory Therapist License issued by the state of Mississippi.
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are a requirement. (NRP and PALS within 90 days of hire.)

*Experience: *
* One year of acute Respiratory Therapy Services is preferred.
* Experience in Ventilators, High Flow O2 and BiPAP is a must
* Cerner charting experience is a plus.
