Rheumatologist opening in Hudson, New YorkAbout Position: - Located in Hudson, NY - Albany 35m, New York 120m - Full-time, permanent position - Seeking a Full Time compassionate and skilled Rheumatologist to join our outpatient clinic team in Hudson, NY a close-knit rural community. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients lives by providing high-quality, specialized care in a setting that values patient relationships and community health.The Rheumatologist will diagnose and manage a wide range of rheumatic conditions in an outpatient setting and play a key role in helping patients manage chronic autoimmune and musculoskeletal diseases.Outpatient officeProvide outpatient evaluation, diagnosis, and management of rheumatologic conditions (e.g., rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gout, osteoarthritis, etc.)Collaborate with primary care physicians, physical therapists, and other specialists to develop comprehensive care plansInterpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory results and imagingAdminister or oversee treatments such as joint injections, biologics, and infusion therapiesEducate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and lifestyle managementMaintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR)Participate in quality improvement initiatives and community outreach effortsProvide occasional telehealth services to improve accessibility for remote patientsQualifications:MD or DO from an accredited medical schoolBoard Certified or Board Eligible in RheumatologyValid and unrestricted medical license in State or eligibility to obtainDEA license and BLS certificationStrong interpersonal and communication skillsComfort working in a rural, resource-limited settingPreferred Experience:Completion of an accredited Rheumatology FellowshipExperience working in outpatient or community-based settingsInterest in underserved and rural health populationsFamiliarity with EMR systems (e.g., Epic)Compensation & Benefits:Hospital employed statusNegotiable salary; guaranteed base with incentive packageBenefits include occurrence malpractice, individual and family health care insurance, CME/professional dues, paid time off, disability coverage, retirement plans, and more.Electronic Health Records:EPICAbout Group:A not-for-profit organization, employs over 200 physicians, NPs, PAs, and CNMs on our three campuses in Hudson, Valatie and Catskill, New York.
