Job Title Manager Company MedImpact Healthcare Systems, Inc. Location San Diego, CA (On‑site or remote with approval) Job Description The IT Program Manager works closely with the CIO and is responsible for managing large strategic technical programs and projects. The Program Manager will ensure that assigned program‑based initiatives adhere to established schedules, specifications, and budget. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate the operation of departments to confirm that assigned programs are completed according to specifications, budgets, and timelines.
Align deliverables to program and project outcomes. Proactively take steps to minimize delays in delivery. Manage risks, issues, and take corrective measures. Follow program management processes to manage overall scope, planning, business requirements, implementation, and delivery of software updates.
Schedule product release timelines with IT department; coordinate product development schedules and releases to production. Provide day‑to‑day management and coordination of deliverables, issue tracking, and compliance issues for assigned programs; ensure timely delivery of reports. Communicate to both internal and external clients on status, schedules, and changes. Coordinate the efforts of multi‑disciplinary teams throughout various stages of the program life‑cycle; manage moderately complex projects from start to finish and effectively lead project teams comprised of multiple business units.
Define metrics to effectively measure the success of program and service processes and deliverables.
Qualifications
BS/BA and 6+ years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, and 2 years’ of SME in respective areas. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Intermediate knowledge of MS Project and Visio. Intermediate knowledge of at least one content management system (SharePoint, Confluence, wiki).
Proven ability to plan and facilitate effective meetings. Advanced presentation skills. Strong problem‑solving skills.
Experience
managing multiple projects simultaneously. PMP or other project management certification desired (not required). Desired Skills (Not Required) SQL query development. Excel macro programming.
Experience
with Golden32 or other database browsing software.
