As a Senior Substation Design Engineer in Olsson’s Transmission and Substation team, you will contribute to an expansive network of substations, switching yards, and advanced electrical technology. In this pivotal role, you will lead the design and execution of substation projects critical to the durability and efficiency of our power infrastructure. From initial planning and feasibility studies to design and construction administration, you will navigate all project phases, manage significant projects, engage directly with clients, and collaborate with diverse teams to deliver sustainable, high‑powered outcomes. Key Responsibilities Spearhead the design and engineering of substations as part of significant power delivery projects. Manage project phases from inception to completion, including planning, conducting studies, and overseeing construction. Serve as the Project Manager, liaising directly with clients to meet specifications, budgets, and deadlines. Work closely with internal teams to deliver engineering solutions that uphold Olsson’s standards of quality. Travel to project sites and participate in client meetings as necessary to ensure project success and client satisfaction. Qualifications Working collaboratively with others. Excellent interpersonal and problem‑solving skills. Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. Registered Professional Engineer (PE).
