Your project assignments will include geotechnical subsurface investigations, geotechnical design, and construction-related problem solving (including building foundations, cut and fill slopes, retaining walls, landslides, and pavements) related to real estate development, power stations, oil and gas, and landfill site design as well as the management of materials testing services before and during construction. Your geotechnical subsurface investigation project duties will consist of coordination or monitoring subsurface drilling, obtaining soil and rock samples, preparing boring logs, developing laboratory testing programs, interpreting laboratory data, performing geotechnical analyses and design, and report preparation. Construction materials testing project duties will include management, coordination, supervision, review, and direction of technician staff for testing related to earthwork, concrete, foundations, masonry, and pavement construction.5-15 years of Consulting Geotechnical Engineering experience; Professional Engineer registration with applicable experience; B.S. in Civil Engineering, specializing in Geotechnical Engineering (M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering preferred).
