Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting for an experienced Neurosurgery nurse practitioner or physician assistant to work locum shifts in Tampa Florida (FL). Starting in November 2025, the role offers ongoing work with a competitive market rate and benefits. The Neurosurgery role: Immediate need for an experienced Neurosurgery PA or NP(First Assist) to work with a well-established, high volume, neurosurgery practice with 5 neurosurgeons and 4 advanced practice providers serving adult and pediatric patients. This position is inpatient rounding and first assist in the OR, with no outpatient responsibilities. Call is rotated among the PA's 1:4/5 weekend call responsibility and 1:4/5 night call responsibility. 600+ bed facility Level II Adult Trauma Center Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. Requirements of the Neurosurgery role: FL state license; active, unrestricted Board certified Certifications- BLS or ACLS CSR License Required 2 years of NP/PA experience minimum Active or transferable DEA Travel and Compensation: Lodging: Airfare, Lodging; Rental Car Competitive Market Rate (rate based on availability, experience, certifications, housing and transportation needs, etc.) Malpractice insurance provided What are the next steps?
