About the Role We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead our structural engineering team based out of Jefferson City, MO. This individual will oversee a team of engineers and designers, providing technical leadership, project management, and client engagement. The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional who combines deep technical knowledge with strong leadership and business development skills. Responsibilities Technical Leadership Provide oversight and technical guidance for the design and analysis of structural systems using Civil 3D (or similar design software). Review and approve structural calculations, drawings, and specifications for steel, concrete, and masonry structures. Ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with codes and standards. Team Management Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and designers. Manage workloads, prioritize tasks, and promote a collaborative, growth‑oriented environment. Project Management Lead structural design projects from concept through completion. Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules; monitor progress and performance. Coordinate with internal disciplines and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery. Client Relations & Business Development Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and project partners. Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and delivery excellence. Lead business development activities, including proposal writing, presentations, and networking. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred). Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Structural Engineer (SE) license a plus. Minimum 8+ years of progressive structural engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role. Proven experience in structural design for steel, concrete, and masonry structures within civil infrastructure or related sectors. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D or comparable modeling/design software. Strong project management, client relationship, and business development skills. Compensation This position offers a salary range of $120,000-140,000 per year along with performance bonus potential, comprehensive health benefits, PTO, and holiday pay.
