Senior Industrial Mechanical Engineer PIC-Precision Industrial is seeking a full‑time Senior Mechanical Engineer for immediate hire. We are committed to developing lasting relationships with our customers by ensuring our design and build services meet the highest quality standards. A Senior Mechanical Engineer will design, develop, and test mechanical components, products, systems, and solutions for industrial construction projects. The role requires a solid grasp of engineering, physics, and material science, proficiency in CAD software, and excellent analytical and communication skills. The engineer will also develop innovative solutions, supervise and mentor junior engineers, and provide technical guidance across all project phases. Responsibilities Review production schedules, processes, specifications, and related information. Design production processes that maximize efficiency and reduce waste. Develop and implement process improvements and technological upgrades. Design control systems to minimize costs and production issues. Develop design and production standards in cooperation with management and user personnel. Prepare material and equipment lists, purchase orders, cost analyses, and estimated production costs. Design the layout of facilities. Estimate RFIs, procurement, and change‑order management. Review all project materials—drawings, scope, budget, submittals, and shop drawings—to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with the contract. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (master’s preferred) or relevant design experience. 5+ years of experience in the heavy industrial construction industry. Expertise with rotating equipment, instrumentation, and piping in industries such as pulp & paper, corrugated, food, and general manufacturing. Strong computer skills with solid experience in CAD, Inventor, and SolidWorks. Ability to write clear and comprehensive technical documentation. Highly analytical mind with exceptional problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Work from the headquarters office in Woodland, WA; travel to projects as needed (this is NOT a remote position). Benefits Compensation negotiable, DOE. 401(k) plan with up to 3% match.
