Job Title: Line Cook Location: Melrose Hill, Los Angeles, CAEmployment Type: (Part-Time)Compensation: Competitive hourlySchedule: Thursday-Saturday availability requiredBar 109 is hiring a part-time line-cook to be part of the bar and restaurant team. Bar 109 is a companion space to Corridor 109, with a full liquor, cocktail, wine and sake program. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently with limited oversight, have a passion for the craft of cooking, hospitality, and a desire to learn and grow as part of a small and flexible team. Responsibilities: Work as a Line-cook under the direction of the Chef / Owner Brian Baik Assist in the preparation of all foods for Bar 109 The Line-cook position will be expected to help with all general kitchen duties Work in tandem with the FOH team to share all responsibilities setup and clean up related Assist with daily setup, cleanup, and breakdown of restaurant and bar General cleaning as may be required including dishwashing, glass washing, glass polishing, bathroom maintenance, etc. Ensure company protocols and policies are upheld, including all health compliance requirements, setup, and cleanup procedures. Learn the menu and have knowledge of the ingredients Other responsibilities as part of the day-to-day operations. Arriving to work on time, following uniform policies and appropriate dress, and general workplace professionality. Weekly availability requirement of Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Requirements: Team player, no ego, we are looking for exceptional candidates that are willing to roll up their sleeves and do any and every task needed for the restaurant. Must have strong principles and integrity Knife skills are required. The right person and personality is more important to us than a pedigree of experience.
