Description The Lead I role is responsible for ensuring the safety, productivity, and performance of all operational employees on their designated shift. This role includes advanced responsibilities such as strategic planning, project management, performance analysis, and cross‑department coordination to drive operational excellence. The Lead I ensures that scheduled operations are executed efficiently and meet all quality standards, while promptly escalating any open issues to the appropriate supervisor, manager, or other designated management contacts. Responsibilities and Duties Mentor team members and provide advanced training to ensure role clarity and departmental alignment Lead by example in professionalism, punctuality, and work ethic Foster a positive team attitude to maintain high morale and productivity Support onboarding and continuous training efforts Delegate tasks and monitor team performance to meet daily quotas Ensure compliance with safety standards, SOPs, and productivity goals Assist in scheduling and resource allocation to optimize workflow Monitor departmental emails and respond promptly Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and 5S principles Conduct performance analysis and report findings to senior management Run daily reports and address discrepancies Support monthly inventory counts and maintain accurate records Collaborate with internal departments to resolve operational issues Maintain strong customer relationships and serve as a point of contact during visits Communicate effectively with engineers and other stakeholders Manage inbound/outbound shipments, will calls, and material transactions Monitor ticketing systems and process SAP transactions (RTS, NCI, SRK, etc.) Oversee inventory and ordering of crates, boxes, and cleanroom bags Sign IPC employee timecards and run RMBWA reports Provide supervisors, managers, peers, and subordinates with information about quality, safety, delivery, cost, and morale Assist the Supervisor in ensuring team adherence to policies, procedures, and productivity standards Ensure that all processes run smoothly and that workers are always kept safe Provide excellent internal and external customer service Navigate within WMS to check on material and its current location Assess and analyze current practices and drive improvements Partner and coordinate with management, peers, subordinates, and other internal departments to resolve issues and concerns Complete all other duties assigned Abilities Attention to detail and ownership of tasks. Must be able to stand, walk, use hands to handle objects, or reach with hands and arms, climb ladders, kneel, crouch. Must be able to lift and move items up to 50 lbs unassisted while using safe lifting techniques. Willingness to work a flexible schedule including overtime to cover escalations if required. Follow all meet all SLAs and SWIs. Qualifications & Skills Needed High school diploma or equivalent 2–4 years of experience in logistics or a related field Strong math, writing, and communication skills Intermediate computer proficiency; SAP and Microsoft Office experience preferred Knowledge of inventory control, shipping/receiving, and RF equipment Forklift certification/experience (Sit‑Down and Stand‑Up) Understanding of Lean, 5S, and 7S methodologies Excellent time management and soft skills High sense of accuracy Assertive and able to meet high volume demand Able to collaborate with all parties necessary to achieve goals May need to use light power tools RK Qualities Adherence to all RK Safety, Quality, ISO, and HR policies and standards RK Logistics Group will consider qualified applicants with a criminal history pursuant to the California Fair Chance Act.
