Common Duties and Responsibilities: Patient Interaction: Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding and comfort during the ultrasound process. Assist patients in preparing for the ultrasound, such as positioning them on the examination table. Provide patients with appropriate clothing, such as gowns, and maintain their privacy during the procedure. Operating Ultrasound Equipment: Set up and calibrate ultrasound equipment for optimal imaging based on the patient's needs. Use the ultrasound machine's transducer to capture high-quality images. Monitor patient responses during the procedure, adjusting the equipment as necessary to ensure accurate results. Image Evaluation: Review images to ensure they are of sufficient quality for diagnosis. Adjust settings on the ultrasound equipment to improve image clarity as needed. Document results and provide reports to physicians or other healthcare professionals.
