You will provide leadership and direct functions of the assigned patient care area on a 24-hour basis. Responsibilities You will develop and implement effective programs to measure, monitor, assess and improve quality of care, aiming for hospital-wide improvements in core measures, patient safety, and service excellence. You will have twenty-four hour responsibility and accountability for the department. You will ensure provision of quality services by maintaining resources, staffing levels, staff competency, equipment maintenance, physical space, and staff training/education. You will ensure continuity of care through interdisciplinary teamwork and collaboration with physicians and other healthcare team members regarding patient progress, treatment and discharge planning. You will apply continuous quality improvement principles to measure and optimize patient outcomes and prevent adverse events. Qualifications Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred. Current Florida RN license required. BLS required. Previous experience in an acute care setting preferred. Strong critical thinking, service excellence and interpersonal communication skills; ability to read and follow instructions; project planning and management skills; proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
