- Two years of NICU experience
- Proficient in infant assessment, IV management, and respiratory support management
**Job Description:**
- Work in a NICU with 146 beds, including 64 Level 3 & 4 beds and 82 Level 2 beds.
- Collaborate with a team of 376 staff members, including charge nurses, clerks, and nurse techs, depending on census and acuity.
- Manage patient ratios that vary based on acuity (1:1, 1:2, 1:3, 1:4).
- Utilize all NICU-specific equipment and work with Meditech & CPN electronic medical records systems.
- Perform typical procedures such as lumbar punctures, central line placements, circumcisions, and eye exams.
- Exhibit strong communication skills and work effectively as part of a team with a focus on parent satisfaction and patient safety.
- Float across all NICU areas, general nursery, and pediatrics with infant assignments as needed.
- Maintain a professional appearance with a dress code of royal blue scrubs and adhere to unit guidelines and policies.
- Work a minimum of 4 weekend shifts and 2 Monday/Friday shifts per 4-week schedule and holidays as per unit guidelines.
