Job Title Nuclear Medicine Technologist Department Imaging Location Unity Hospital, Rochester, NY 14626 Hours Per Week As Needed, Per Diem Schedule Flexible and as needed Summary As a Nuclear Medical Technologist, you play an important part in high quality nuclear medicine procedures needed to deliver quality care to our patients. Responsibilities Equipment Operation: Perform a variety of diagnostic exams and quality assurance procedures; ensure nuclear imaging equipment is in optimal working condition. Patient Care: Maintain accountability for timely and proper service to patients throughout the area; educate patients regarding their procedure and maintain a safe, comfortable and supportive environment for the patient throughout the exam. Documentation: Maintain clear documentation within radiopharmacy information systems. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine or completion of a certification program. ARRT and/or NMTCB Certification within 3 months of hire. NYS License in Radiologic Technology in the area of Nuclear Medicine required, or must hold NYS permit and obtain licensure within 6 months of hire. Continuing education classes. New Graduates Official transcript from accredited school or letter emailed directly from the school’s registrar’s office confirming program completion will be accepted upon graduation. Primary source education verification required within 90 days of graduation. Preferred Qualifications 2 years of experience preferred. Strong computer and interpersonal/communication skills. Physical Requirements M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
