Job Overview The Medical Director provides leadership and oversees all medical services, including planning, developing, implementing, and delivering participant care and clinical outcomes. This role involves advising the management team and board of directors on medical care operations, implementing and overseeing the quality assessment and performance improvement (QAPI) program, and presenting the QAPI plan annually for review and approval. Responsibilities include recruiting and supervising primary care physicians and nurse practitioners, consulting with clinic and home care staff, and maintaining supportive relationships with the team. The Director will participate in staff education, policy development, and program oversight, ensuring adherence to medical care standards and addressing fiscal issues and productivity targets.
