Summary The Corporate Controller is responsible for leading the financial accounting function, treasury activities, and FP&A function for High Star Traffic (Traffic Control & Protection Holdings, LLC (“TCP”)) based in Bartlett, IL. TCP is a private‑equity company sponsored by Hastings Equity Partners, founded in 2004, with a strong track record of investing in and growing companies. In this role the Corporate Controller must be a self‑starter who can handle challenges in a rapidly growing business, roll up their sleeves to drive process changes across newly combined entities, and adapt to a demanding and ever‑changing environment. Duties & Responsibilities Prepare monthly consolidation of divisional financial results and MD&A Effectively communicate financial results to the CFO and other stakeholders Support the operational needs of the business and collaborate with other business unit leaders Provide and maintain a 13‑week cash flow forecast Generate weekly flash reporting for the executive team and shareholders Calculate and maintain lender reporting requirements Coordinate the company’s annual business plan Drive collaboration and maintain positive relationships with external auditors and tax advisors Create and provide monthly financial reporting and business KPIs Identify and drive process improvements and build a strong controls environment Drive consistent and best‑practice financial policies across the organization Directly support the CFO on strategic and tactical needs of the organization Coach, mentor, and develop direct reports Supervisor Responsibilities Manage three direct reports and 14 indirect reports Education, Certifications & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or a related discipline (required) CPA or MBA preferred 10–15 years of progressive accounting/finance experience as a controller or assistant controller Private‑equity experience a plus Big Four public‑accounting experience a plus Knowledge of construction/percentage‑of‑completion accounting Above‑average knowledge of MS Office and accounting industry software (ComputerEase a plus) Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong problem‑solving skills and a desire to create solutions Maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work in sensitive and confidential situations Prior experience working under tight deadlines with changing priorities Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction Exceptional organization and time‑management skills Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from internal or external customers Excellent oral and written communication skills Prior experience integrating acquisitions preferred Ability to work independently, be self‑motivated with a high sense of urgency Ability to establish and maintain rapport and effective communication with diverse levels within the company and external organizations Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, dealing with both abstract and concrete variables Physical Demands & Work Environment Must sit for long periods at a computer and use hands to handle or feel objects; required to stand occasionally and may lift or move up to 25 lbs Specific vision abilities required: close vision and ability to adjust focus Work primarily in an office setting, with occasional travel to off‑site locations requiring PPE such as dust mask, safety glasses, hard hat, ear protection, safety vest, and/or steel‑toed footwear Seniority Level Executive Employment Type Full‑time Job Function Accounting/Auditing and Finance Salary Range $165,000 - $235,550 a year Disclaimer The above statements are not intended to be an all‑inclusive list of the duties and responsibilities of the job described, nor are they intended to be such a listing of the job requirements.
