**Job Duration:** 13-18 weeks
**Shift:** 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM, Every other weekend
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** 2+ years
**License:** KY License
**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIH
**Must-Have:**
- Cardiac PCU experience
- CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Graft) experience
**Job Description:**
- Work in an intermediate step-down cardiac unit.
- Specialize in post-operative care for coronary bypass graft and valve surgery patients.
- Manage chest pain, dysrhythmia, and CHF (Congestive Heart Failure) patients.
- Provide care pre and post Pacemaker/AICD placement and pre/post Cath Lab procedures.
- Handle cardiac drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Primacor, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Heparin.
- Competently perform post-cath sheath removal.
- Float to other PCU or Med Surg units as needed.
- Maintain patient ratios of 4:1 or 5:1, or 6:1 if floated.
- Utilize medical equipment like IV pumps and epicardial pacing wires efficiently.
- Document patient care accurately using the Cerner EMR system.
- Be part of a team-oriented environment with a focus on advanced heart care treatment.
- Wear the designated scrub color, Galaxy Blue.
