Join our growing team as a Corporate Controller and help shape the financial future of a dynamic, mid-sized general contractor based in Charleston, South Carolina . As Corporate Controller, you will oversee all aspects of corporate finance, accounting operations, budgeting, and reporting. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and has a deep understanding of construction job costing and project-driven financial management. Key Responsibilities: Lead all accounting functions including GL, AR/AP, payroll, and job cost accounting Own month-end close, internal financial reporting, and variance analysis Partner with leadership on annual budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls Oversee external audit preparation and manage banking relationships Implement process improvements and systems upgrades to support growth What We're Looking For: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred) 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in construction Strong knowledge of WIP schedules, job costing, and project-based reporting Experience with construction accounting software (e.g., Sage 300, Viewpoint, CMiC) Proven leadership ability with a collaborative and proactive approach Why Join Us?
