Position Summary We’re hiring an Advanced Quality Engineer to lead quality activities during new program launches and support ongoing manufacturing excellence. You’ll drive continuous improvement, ensure compliance with industry standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve internal and external quality issues. This role is hands-on, decision-driven, and central to delivering reliable, high-performance products. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Automotive industry experience Fluent in English; Spanish or German a plus Six Sigma or Shainin certification Required Qualifications 3–5 years in quality engineering (automotive or manufacturing) ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 knowledge Proficient in GD&T, PFMEA, Control Plans, and PPAP Skilled with metrology tools and quality systems Position Overview As an Advanced Quality Engineer, you’ll take ownership of quality tasks during new program launches, including capability analysis, Safe Launch planning, prototype builds, and supplier approvals. You’ll prepare and submit PPAPs to customers and lead problem-solving teams to address internal and external issues. Responsibilities also include evaluating process changes, managing deviations, and participating in design reviews and risk reduction activities. You’ll work directly with customers and collaborate closely with GKN operations, mechanical, and design engineering teams. Strong communication, multitasking, and time management skills are essential, along with proficiency in tools like Minitab, SAP, and structured problem-solving methods (8D, A3, Ishikawa, 5Why, QRQC). Travel is limited to 2–3 short trips per year. This is a high-impact role in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your expertise will shape product quality and customer satisfaction.
