Radiologic Technologist – X‑Ray Technician (Limited Scope) Location: Silver Spring, MD Patriot Urgent Care is a leading urgent care operator in the state of Maryland. We are looking for an experienced X‑Ray Technician to provide radiographic and other diagnostic imaging services and assist providers in the examination and treatment of patients. Primary Responsibilities Perform clinical intake including patient medical history, current medications, chief complaint, vital signs, and record information within the electronic medical record. Explain treatment procedures and prepare patient and exam room for examination. Assist physicians with procedures. Perform diagnostic tests (eye exams, EKG, audiogram, spirometry, basic nursing functions). Perform CLIA‑waived lab tests, collect labels, and process specimens for send‑out. Perform digital x‑rays with proper positioning, shielding, and settings to produce quality images in a compliant, safe manner. Document within the medical chart including services rendered, test results, and supplies used. Perform patient callbacks, arrange referrals and testing, and schedule follow‑up appointments. Perform quality checks on medical equipment as directed/needed. Assist registration staff and perform additional clerical duties as necessary. Qualifications And Experience High school diploma. Current state Radiologic Technologist (RT) license. Ability to accurately read and write medical terminology. CPR certification. Ability to work 12‑hour shifts and weekend hours as needed. Ability to escort or transport a patient by wheelchair or stretcher when appropriate. Basic computer skills including familiarity with electronic medical records. Keyboard typing: 25 words per minute with 96% accuracy. Detail‑oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
