Veterinary Extern - Emergency & General Practice Join to apply for the Veterinary Extern - Emergency & General Practice role at NVA General Practice . I-20 Animal Medical Center offers up to a $2500 travel stipend for Clinical Year Externships. An externship experience at an NVA hospital provides students with a unique opportunity to understand daily practice operations and gain valuable hands-on clinical experience. While each NVA hospital is unique, they share common features: a supportive environment, a commitment to excellent medicine, and a focus on exceptional service to animals and their owners.
Open 24/7 - ER/GP/Dental - A great opportunity to learn various aspects of small animal medicine with experienced professionals. Externs will work closely with supervising Associate Veterinarians to gain experience in collecting patient histories, performing physical exams, creating treatment plans, diagnostics, dentistry, assisting or performing surgeries, and managing patient care. This externship also offers the chance to improve communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients. Externship durations range from two to eight weeks, depending on schedules.
