OrthoNY is seeking a Full-Time MRI Coordinator (Front Desk Receptionist - Imaging Department) to join our team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and supportive experience for our patients receiving MRI services. Monday-Friday, 11:30am-8:00pm - perfect for those who prefer later hours or need mornings free Responsibilities Serve as the first point of contact for MRI patients, delivering warm, professional, and responsive service, obtains required information, documents and signatures; Contacts other imaging centers to set up appointments for our patients and/or provides support to outside vendors; Contacts patients to confirm their test appointment as well as ensures a follow-up appointment has been made Performs check-out process, collects patient payments, including co-pays and any past due balances, post any cash collected into practice management system and issues receipt; Schedules follow-up appointments and testing as provider directs: Posts charges from encounter form in accordance with correct coding guidelines, using CPT, HCPCS and ICD 9 coding formats; Performs accounts receivable work, balances and closes journal each day; Other responsibilities as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Minimum of 1-year experience in a medical setting; 3 years preferred; Excellent communication and customer service skills; Must be familiar with medical terminology; Strong data entry skills.
