Capstone is looking for a highly motivated and talented Data Scientist for a short‑term contract (1‑2 months). Remote work is available and the role focuses on Python, data preparation, and time‑series analysis. The pay rate is currently unknown. Key Skills Python Data preparation Experience with time‑series datasets Responsibilities Support data validation across historical and newly ingested datasets. Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and feature relevance. Assist with data preparation, cleansing, and transformation for modeling. Collaborate with the Senior Data Scientist on feature understanding and engineering. Evaluate data across multiple data zones to ensure consistency and accuracy. Help refine predictive outputs to improve demand and pricing forecasts. Document findings, assumptions, and validation results throughout the PoC. Qualifications Professional experience as a Data Scientist or Applied Data Analyst. Strong background in data preparation, validation, and exploratory data analysis (EDA). Experience working with historical time‑series or pricing/demand datasets. Proficiency with Python and common data‑science libraries (Pandas, NumPy, scikit‑learn, etc.). Ability to collaborate effectively with senior technical leads and stakeholders. Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills. Nice to Have Experience with AWS data services (S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, SageMaker). Exposure to pricing, demand forecasting, or supply‑chain analytics. Familiarity with structured PoC or prototype‑driven projects. Strong documentation and communication skills.
