Essential Function Store Managers are responsible for hiring, developing, and leading all store associates to ensure optimal customer experiences. They effectively oversee store operations and maintain brand standards. They develop strategies to achieve key performance indicators and financial targets through business analysis, action planning, effective communication, and accountability. Assistant Managers support the Store Manager in these areas and are responsible for primary duties when the Store Manager is absent. Job Description Sally Beauty Job Title: Assistant Manager Essential Function Assist in managing store operations, leading staff, and maintaining brand standards. Support the Store Manager in achieving business goals and customer satisfaction. Primary Duties Brand (30%) : Supervise and support associates in achieving sales, KPIs, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. Ensure brand standards are met and analyze store trends. People (30%) : Train, develop, and motivate team members. Recruit and address associate concerns. Maintain positive relations and foster diversity and inclusion. Operations (30%) : Execute company processes, manage inventory, schedules, and store procedures. Support digital strategies like Omni-channel fulfillment. Safety/Loss Prevention (10%) : Ensure a safe environment, protect assets, and ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures. Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent Must be 18 years or older Retail sales/customer service experience preferred Management experience preferred Effective leadership and communication skills Flexible scheduling availability Cosmetology license desirable but not required Competencies Passionate Learner Flexible and Agile Talent Builder Effective Communicator Team Builder Customer Focused Results Driven Strategic Thinker Big Picture Thinker Problem Solver/Decision Maker Control and Discretion High task and project control, high departmental oversight Develops and implements guidelines within strict adherence Working Conditions / Physical Requirements Long periods of standing, walking, bending, lifting moderately heavy items, and working in various environments with safety precautions.
