As a Radiology Imaging Technologist, you will be responsible for administering x-rays and utilizing radioactive substances for patient imaging. Your role will involve operating x-ray equipment, developing images, and preparing necessary rooms, equipment, supplies, and medications. You will provide outstanding patient services leveraging various imaging modalities. Apply today and discover how MedStar Health can elevate your career Key Responsibilities: Prepare patient rooms, equipment, and materials for procedures while ensuring cleanliness and disinfection of x-ray facilities. Prepare patients for imaging, explaining procedures, transferring them to the imaging table, positioning them correctly, and assisting them post-procedure. Conduct x-ray examinations for all incoming patients, monitoring the equipment and patient throughout the process, and documenting any unusual occurrences or patient conditions. Support the chief technologist in maintaining radiographic technique charts and ensure compliance with infection control guidelines. Efficiently transport mobile x-ray units to patient rooms or emergency situations as needed. Qualifications: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiology. Maryland State License. Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). This position offers a competitive hiring range of USD $32.71 - USD $53.49 per hour.
