Job Type: 
Full-time Travel Contract 
(Up to 13 weeks)

 

Compensation: 
$29-34 per hour, blended rate
(Housing & meal stipends available)

Job Description: 
As a traveling LPN/LVN Charge Nurse, your role is pivotal in providing leadership and guidance to nursing staff while ensuring high-quality patient care. You will:

* Assume leadership responsibilities during assigned shifts, including supervision of nursing staff and delegation of tasks.
* Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
* Provide direct patient care as needed, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and protocols.
* Assess and monitor patient conditions, responding to changes and emergencies effectively.
* Mentor and support nursing staff in their professional development and performance.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient care activities and outcomes.

 

Qualifications: 
To be considered for this role, you should meet the following requirements:

* Active and unrestricted LPN or LVN license in the state of Iowa, or eligible Compact State License.
* At minimum, current BLS (AHA) and IV certifications (Certification requirements vary by location).
* At least 1 year of experience as an LPN or LVN, actively within the last 12 months.
* 1 year experience as a Charge Nurse in a Skilled Nursing facility.
* Strong clinical and critical thinking skills.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
* Travel experience and/or willingness to travel.
