Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting for an experienced Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospitalist/Physician to work locum shifts in Socorro, New Mexico (NM). Starting as soon as possible, the role offers ongoing work with a competitive market rate and benefits. The Obstetrics and Gynecology role: Shifts: Looking for 2 weeks/month to cover clinic and call. They are flexible whether it's back to back or every other week. CALL: Provider will be on call while working in the clinic 8a-5p. Night call: 5p-8a Weekend call: Fri 5p - Mon 8a CLINIC: M-F 8am-5pm Oct 16 to the am of Oct 18 Oct 23 Oct 30 to the am of Nov 1 Nov 6 to the am of Nov 10 Nov 21 to 1100am of Nov 23 Nov 27 to the am of Dec 2 About: 8-10 deliveries per month - Less than 15 patients per day in Clinic; C section- 21% Occasional high risk but mostly low Staff: 2 OBGYNs, RN, MA C section assist when on call EMR: EPIC Labor and Delivery: Management of low-risk pregnancies, including those with pre-existing conditions, Fetal heart rate interpretation and performance of OB ultrasounds (Level I/screening, Level II/targeted), Conducting routine deliveries, complicated deliveries, and repairs of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations. Gynecological Procedures: Surgical procedures such as dilation and curettage, hysterectomy, and various repairs, Performance of laparoscopic diagnostic and minor surgeries, Management of operative/major procedures like ectopic pregnancy and ovarian removal. Requirements of the Obstetrics and Gynecology role: NM state license; active, unrestricted Board certified OBGYN NM State DEA NM CSR Required BLS, ACLS and NRP Covid Vaccination- Required or Medical Exemption + Flu Shot Offsite Drug Screening is Mandatory 14 days prior to start date Benefits: Competitive Market Rate (rate based on availability, experience and certifications) Housing and transportation needs covered.
