As part of Piedmont Healthcare s growing academic strategy, this new Internal Medicine Residency Program will be a cornerstone of physician workforce development across Georgia. Position Overview As the Founding Program Director, you will lead the design, accreditation, and launch of a new Internal Medicine Residency Program. You will build a culture of academic excellence, equity, and patient-centered care while maintaining clinical practice as a role model for trainees. Key Responsibilities Design and oversee implementation of the program curriculum and evaluation systems Lead recruitment and development of faculty and residents Ensure ongoing compliance with ACGME standards Foster a culture of professionalism, scholarship, and resident wellness Maintain a clinical role in internal medicine Collaborate with system leaders to grow future fellowships Minimum Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited medical school Board Certification in Internal Medicine Eligibility for unrestricted Georgia medical license Minimum of three years of GME experience Preferred Qualifications Experience developing or expanding residency programs Strong knowledge of ACGME accreditation and site visit process Interest in DEI, faculty mentorship, and scholarly innovation Why Piedmont?
