Essential Functions Collaborate with faculty and researchers to design and execute experiments in microbiology, bacterial pathogenesis, optics, and materials science. Innovate healthcare solutions using engineering principles, with experience in in vivo mouse models. Analyze experimental data, contributing to research publications. Engage in scientific discussions, and present findings at conferences and seminars. Support the supervision and mentorship of undergraduate students. Participate in grant writing and contribute to the academic community. Prerequisite Qualifications Master’s degree, MD, or PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering, Microbiology, or a related field such as Human health, Chemistry, Material Sciences, Biosciences, and Biomedical physics. Strong academic record and research background. Demonstrated proficiency in experimental design, data analysis, and scientific writing. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Flexible with working in both Stanford University and NJIT. At the university’s discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position. Salary Information In compliance with the NJ Pay Transparency Law, the hourly rate/range for this position is $30.00-$35.00 (USD). NJIT considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses or other items.
