Global Veterinary Careers is currently supporting a full-service hospital and seeking a full-time Medical Director. As the Medical Director, you will get the full support and freedom to practice high-quality medicine alongside dedicated time to design/implement strategy and identify growth opportunities, evolving the hospital to the next exciting period of growth.

The Role

Full-Time Medical Director role including:

· Overall responsibility for the smooth running of the hospital

· Financial responsibility for the monthly P&L

· Supervising all staff including relief veterinarians

· Full support provided from the non-clinical management team

· Dedicated surgery time including spays/neuters etc.

· Wellness and preventative care to a high standard

· Diagnostic imaging

· Work up your Internal medicine cases

Staten Island, one of New York City's five boroughs, is known for its suburban feel, scenic beauty, and rich history. Located to the southwest of Manhattan, it is accessible via the iconic Staten Island Ferry, which offers stunning views of the Statue of Liberty and New York Harbor.

To be considered for this position, you must have the following:

· DVM/VMD degree or equivalent from an AVMA accredited university

· NAVLE

· ECFVG or PAVE if attended non-AVMA accredited university

· DEA, State, and USDA licenses (can be acquired when hired)

· Proficient general medicine, dental, and surgical experience
