Position Overview We are seeking Board Certified Emergency Medicine physicians for ongoing locum coverage in the Emergency Department. This is a hands on clinical role with full scope EM procedures and direct patient care. Key Details Setting: Emergency Department (Outpatient) Shift Times: Physicians: 6:00 PM 6:00 AM (Nights) APPs: 11:00 AM 11:00 PM Annual Volume: 40,000 visits Trauma Designation: Level III Beds in ED: 17 Admission Rate: 15% EMR: EPIC (all Mercy locations) Backup: None Consultants Available: Cardiology, Nephrology, Surgery, Podiatry, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Urology, Tele Neurology, Hospitalist Clinical Scope Physicians will perform the usual Emergency Medicine procedures including: Central lines Intubations Other standard EM interventions Requirements Must be Emergency Medicine residency trained Must be Board Certified in Emergency Medicine Family Medicine or Internal Medicine trained physicians are not accepted Current life support certifications required (ACLS, ATLS, PALS, etc.) Compensation Rate: $215/hr (1099) Travel and lodging support available
