Math Interventionist Paraprofessional

Math Interventionist Paraprofessional (2 positions) Yorkville CUSD 115 has two openings for a Math Interventionist Paraprofessional to support Yorkville Intermediate School for the school year. Position Summary The paraprofessional provides academic and social support for students and classroom support to increase access to the curriculum. The role requires collaboration with school personnel, implementation and monitoring of interventions, support for small groups or individual students, and facilitating communication with stakeholders. This is a 10‑month position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Demonstrate knowledge of student needs and implement as needed. Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all matters pertaining to students and personnel. Demonstrate effective organizational skills, time management, and flexibility to meet staff and student needs. Check and maintain student equipment after specialized training. Complete paperwork and data tracking duties for the educational team. Communicate concerns to facilitate effective planning and preparation. Predict challenges and communicate with professional team members. Provide direct instructional and academic support throughout the day as determined by the team. Implement special tools/programs following training to assist students with varied needs. Assist teachers with maintaining an inclusive learning‑centered environment. Assist and monitor student use of assistive technology. Assist students in accessing instructional aspects through organization and accommodations. Establish a positive rapport with staff, students, and families. Consult or meet with teachers or other professionals using appropriate channels to resolve concerns. Provide timely information about students or concerns impacting assignments or materials. Refer questions from families to appropriate school personnel. Model appropriate hygiene, appearance, and social interactions expected in a school environment. Demonstrate flexibility in professional responsibilities to address student and classroom needs. Assume other duties as assigned. Reports To Building Principal, Associate Principal of Student Services, Educational Services Department Chair, and the Classroom Teacher. Qualifications / Skills - Paraprofessional Certificate- Effective collaboration skills with staff and students.
